The thinking process of forming a chapter of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) in Chittagong started on 3rd October, 1985. At that time Bangladesh was in Analog stage in terms of technological advancement. Gradually the country moved into the age of the Internet.

And, now in 2026 Bangladesh is at par with the world in terms of cyber technology. A simple smartphone has become a device of unimaginable range of business possibilities for an individual.

Taking advantage of this dynamic digital age the 12th Committee of IAB, Chattogram chapter has taken up the task of building it’s own WEBSITE, which will be a mirror reflecting all it’s activities, starting from storing it’s history, data of Architects practising in Chattogram to the last seminar being organised by IAB, Chattogram chapter. As a result the WEBSITE will become an Archive of all the digital materials engaging IAB.

We eagerly await the journey of the WEBSITE, which will definitely unfold a new chapter for IAB, Chattogram chapter where all the infos regarding IAB will be a click away.

Last but not the least, we are tremendously thankful to the team who has worked relentlessly in developing the WEBSITE. It is worth mentioning the role of Ar. Aniket Chowdhury, Ar. Asaduzzaman Chowdhury, Ar. Shafiul Azam Shamim, Ar. Abdullah-Al-Rumman, Mr. Ashraful Islam, Ar. Sumaiya Sultana. We are also grateful to the 26th Executive Council (EC) of IAB for the cooperation we received from their end.

And, special thanks to all the Committee members of 12th Committee IAB, Chattogram, Chapter for wholeheartedly supporting this endeavour.
